Men Widely Opting for Cosmetic Surgery to Enhance Job Prospects

Contrary to the concept that women are the ones mainly opting for cosmetic surgery procedures, recent studies show that more men are utilizing the advancements in the cosmetic surgery field. Former president of the Australasian College of Cosmetic Surgery, Dr Russell Knudsen recently pointed out that men are seeking cosmetic procedures to look younger to improve their job opportunities or to stay on top of their field. According to the report regarding this in the Daily Telegraph, appearance matters a lot when it comes to getting a job, especially when individuals seeking job are above 40 years. Moreover, men are now more conscious of the necessity to stay beautiful, fresh and happy.

ASPS Reports on Male Cosmetic Surgery

According to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, in the US, the number of men appearing for cosmetic surgery procedures has seen a rise up to 22 percent during the period 2000 – 2012.
