According to an NBC News report, at least 378,000 New Yorkers searched the RealSelf site for information related to this cosmetic surgical procedure between November 2013 and January 2014. This advanced cosmetic procedure uses the patient’s own fat to enhance the size and shape of the buttocks. Fat is removed via liposuction fat from another area which it is abundant, typically the tummy, thighs or hips, purified and injected into the butt.
RealSelf’s data is based on the searches for the procedure on the site. NBC News says that leading surgeons in NYC had about six to eight consultations on Brazilian butt lifts per week, on par with breast augmentation. LA follows New York City with 138,227 page views followed by Miami with 108,341 page views and Atlanta with 98,993 views.
