Ear Surgery for Men – Procedure

Treatment at our surgical practice can help resolve various conditions such as deformed ears, drooping ears, torn earlobes, or ears that are cupped, long, floppy, big, or protruding. Incisions are made either on the back surface of the ear or front of the ear. The surgical procedure involves:

  • Creating or increasing the fold inside the rim of the ear
  • Reducing surplus cartilage
  • Reshaping to address asymmetry
  • Repositioning of the ear

Non-removable sutures are made inside the ear to create and hold the newly created cartilage in place.

Our procedures can address for the following issues:

  • Missing parts
  • Lop, shell or cauliflower ears
  • Lobes with wrinkles or large creases
  • Hanging earlobes
  • Congenital structural defects
  • Microtia

Personalized Treatment

We provide ear surgery for children, teenagers and adults. The ideal time for otoplasty surgery for children is when the child is 5 or 6 years of age as the ears would be fully developed by then.

Our skilled and experienced surgeons evaluate each patient to understand the actual correction required and provide individualized solutions. All incisions are placed so that they are not easily visible.

We are dedicated to patient comfort and safety. At the initial consultation patients are provided with the necessary information on the procedure, pre-surgery precautions, post-operative care, and probable side effects. We make every effort to minimize discomfort and post-surgical trauma, providing care and support through to full recovery.
