Renowned experts in the field of cosmetic surgery will be meeting and demonstrating their work at The Cutting Edge 2015 scheduled to be held at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York from December 3-5, 2015. Dr. Spero Theodorou and Dr. Christopher T Chia, bodySCULPT®‘s leading plastic surgeons, will be participating in this prestigious event which is endorsed by the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS).
Chaired by eminent educators Dr. Sherrel Aston and Dr. Dan Baker, the 35th aesthetic surgery symposium will be attended by an outstanding faculty who are recognized worldwide as the innovators and developers of the most advanced techniques for facial rejuvenation and body contouring.
The 2015 meeting confirms the superiority of surgical procedures for facial rejuvenation and body sculpting. Dr. Theodorou and Dr. Chia will discuss the use of technology in body contouring. They will focus specifically on high lateral tension abdominoplasty, and the use of lasers and ultrasound in liposuction and body contouring.
The Cutting Edge is the first symposium to feature videos as the format of presentation. The program includes 107 highly edited videos of key surgical steps as performed by an international faculty of world-renowned experts. Dr. Chia says the video format is particularly impressive as it offers the “most effective way to see how our esteemed colleagues do their particular procedures in their own environment.”
The 2015 symposium will feature 12 PowerPoint presentations, 14 panels, and three keynote addresses. Twelve lectures will address non-surgical skin tightening in face and neck rejuvenation, how non-invasive devices and techniques enhance a surgical practice, and how photographs can be deceiving in demonstrating results and fourteen panels will discuss and debate the videos shown, comparing the complexity of procedures, technical details, complications and patient safety issues.
