ASPS Predicts Plastic Surgery Trends during Quarantine

Many industries have changes and adapted to lockdown and social distancing requirements and plastic surgery is no exception. What procedures were considered trending a few months back are no longer relevant, and have been replaced by others. The COVID-19 pandemic has changed people’s wants, habits, and goals as well as their perceptions towards beauty. The public health emergency has changed plastic surgery activity. The American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) conducted a member survey from telemedicine visits to understand what procedures were top of mind among patients. Here’s what the study revealed:

According to ASPS, the COVID-19 pandemic has changed how plastic surgeons care for their patients and how they operate their practices. The survey also helped identify whether the public’s mindset on preferred treatments has changed or not. When the pandemic hit the nation, many non-essential areas such as plastic surgery and cosmetic dermatology was forced to shut down.

Even after reopening in May, most plastic surgeons stayed in touch with patients via telemedicine or virtual visits. On measuring the performance of telemedicine, the survey found that:

  • 64% of respondents had seen an increase in their telemedicine consultations since before COVID-19 began.
  • 68% of respondents started seeing patients virtually because of COVID-19.

The telemedicine consultations enabled plastic surgeon to understand patients’ needs. From the responses of more than 350 member surgeons, ASPS prepared early predictions on top 2020 plastic surgery procedure trends from telemedicine visits during the pandemic. Injectables were found to be the most-asked for treatment, followed by invasive procedures. The top 5 trend predictions a re are listed below:

  • Botulinum Toxin Type A
  • Breast Augmentation
  • Soft Tissue Fillers
  • Liposuction
  • Abdominoplasty

The popularity of injectable treatments can be explained by the fact that they involve only limited downtime and cause hardly any pain, allowing patients to return to their routine activities in no time at all. Especially during this pandemic, when they are at home for longer periods, maintaining the results for injectables would also be easier to handle.

Along with injectables, the survey revealed that patients are still interested in pursuing major surgeries and that the general interest has not changed in the type of procedures and operations. Procedures such as breast augmentation in NYC, liposuction and abdominoplasty or tummy tuck are some of the most sought-after invasive treatments. Around 44% patients asked for breast augmentation, 30% for liposuction and 24% for tummy tuck.

Women’s desire for improving breast volume and contour, and correcting asymmetry and other irregularities have contributed to making breast augmentation one of the most popular procedures for over a decade. According to 2020 ASPS annual procedural statistics, breast augmentation ranks first among the top 5 cosmetic surgical procedures, with a total of 299,715 breast augmentation procedures in 2019. Of the total breast augmentations performed in 2019, silicone implants were used in 85%, and saline implants in 15%.

Liposuction is another popular procedure. ASPS reported that a total of 265,209 procedures were performed in 2019, an increase of 3 percent from 2018.

Tummy tuck in NYC or abdominoplasty is another invasive procedure that continued to be in demand during the pandemic. The procedure removes excess fat and sagging skin in the abdominal area to provide toned and more youthful appearance. Abdominoplasty can be performed using FDA approved, minimally-invasive advanced liposuction devices such as BodyTite, Smartlipo Triplex and VASER lipo. These treatments provide all the benefits of a traditional abdominoplasty, but use local anesthesia, and come with less downtime, and short recovery. Plastic surgeons will recommend the most suitable technique and method based on patient preferences and goals.

A positive approach towards plastic surgery procedures during quarantine – even among those who are have not undergone a procedure before – suggest that there is a continued interest in plastic surgery procedures. This has encouraged a lot of plastic surgeons to reopen their practice and resume procedures safely by following all necessary guidelines.

ASPS President Lynn Jeffers, MD, MBA, FACS, said, “The early sign of patients’ confidence in resuming procedures with our trusted members is a testament to why we do what we do.” ASPS convened plastic surgeon working groups to issue guidance regarding COVID restrictions, elective surgery, and safe resumption of surgery.

If you are considering plastic surgery, schedule a virtual consultation in an AAAASF-accredited plastic surgery practice that has surgeons who are experts in the treatment. This will allow you to discuss your goals and get the right guidance on how to achieve them.

InMode EVOLVE Tone: A Non-invasive Option to Lift and Sculpt the Buttocks

Influenced by celebrity selfies on Instagram and other social media platforms, many women yearn for a rounder, perkier, and more defined backside. The Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) is designed to help them achieve this goal. BBL can be an invasive procedure under general anesthesia or a minimally-invasive procedure under local anesthesia. Today, NYC plastic surgeons are offering a third option – a non-invasive butt lift using InMode EVOLVE Tone. While this option may not provide dramatic changes, it is considered a feasible alternative to conventional BBL.

InMode EVOLVE Tone

The Brazilian Butt Lift in NYC helps patients achieve two goals simultaneously: it removes unwanted fat from areas of the body such as the waist and thighs and relocates it to the butt area, helping to achieve their dream hourglass figure and a plump, perky derriere. The idea underlying the non-invasive butt lift is to lift or enhance the derriere using InMode’s EVOLVE, a non-invasive hands-free workstation. This next generation non-surgical body contouring modality utilizes radiofrequency energy for fat reduction, cellulite reduction, and skin tightening, and provides great results.

EVOLVE’s innovative design deploys three proprietary technologies – TITE, TRIM, and TONE – allowing for customized treatment for a variety of body types. EVOLVE TONE is used to perform the non-invasive butt lift. Tone’s 4 hands-free applicators work by emitting electrical muscle stimulation (EMS) to stimulate involuntary muscle contractions. It targets specific muscle groups to increase muscle strength and refine the look of the muscles to provide a rounder, youthful, and more attractive butt.

One of the major benefits of this non-invasive butt lift over the minimally-invasive and traditional butt lift is that it is a quick, painless treatment that requires no recovery time. During a non-surgical butt lift procedure, patients can rest comfortably and relax during the treatment. They can return to their normal activities immediately after the procedure. Slight redness and warmth in the treated area is quite normal and will subside after a few hours. The treatment is done in 4 sessions of 30 minutes each and performed over a two-week period.

Though a non-invasive BBL may not provide the dramatic changes achieved using implants or fat transfer, Evolve Tone can lift and tone the buttocks in a unique way. Ideal candidates can expect to achieve tighter, firmer buttocks.

The latest annual statistics report of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons reflects a surge in demand for buttock augmentation using fat grafting by 17% from 2018, with a total of 28,076 procedures performed during the period. It is believed that one of the major reasons for the growing demand for the Brazilian Butt Lift in NYC might be due to the fact that it can be performed using local anesthesia. Invented by plastic surgeons Drs. Spero Theodorou and Christopher T. Chia of bodySCULPT in NYC, the Brazilian butt lift under local anesthesia (BBLULA) is a safer option compared to BBL under general anesthesia, because local anesthesia presents minimal complications or risks for the patient. BBLULA is a relatively short procedure that allows patients to remain awake throughout the procedure, heal faster, and get back quickly to their normal routine.

If you are considering a non-surgical butt lift in NYC, schedule a consultation in an AAAASF-accredited plastic surgery practice that offers this option. Experienced surgeons will evaluate your goals and anatomical considerations and recommend whether the Brazilian butt lift under local anesthesia or a non-invasive butt lift would be the best option for you.

Who is an Ideal Candidate for a Facelift?

Facelift surgery, also known as rhytidectomy, is a surgical procedure to address the visible signs of aging in the face and neck. Facial aging can occur due to many reasons and if you are anxious about this concern and want to address it, it is time to consider a facelift in Manhattan. Experienced plastic surgeons in Manhattan, NYC perform the procedure using the latest techniques and can provide attractive, natural looking outcomes.

According to a study published by the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, patients who have had facelift surgery rate themselves as looking an average of 12 years younger after surgery. Loss of youthful contour can occur due to variety of factors such as:

  • Thinning of skin
  • Smoking
  • Sun damage
  • Heredity
  • Stress
  • Loss of facial fat
  • Natural aging
  • Repetitive facial movements

All these factors can lead to sagging skin, lines, folds, jowls and a double chin. A facelift in Manhattan can restore the natural contour of your face by slowing down the effects of aging.

  • When should you get a Facelift?

When people approach middle age, they start noticing changes like excess skin hanging down over the chin or jowling. The jawline may become lax. Signs of skin aging like lines, wrinkles and sagging skin appear. If these changes affect your self-confidence, you can consider a facelift. Deciding to get a facelift is a personal matter. You should do it for yourself. The procedure can reduce severe signs of aging and provide you with a more youthful appearance.

  • How old is too old for a Facelift:

Normally, the optimal age to get facelift is between your 40’s and 50’s. This will provide longer lasting results compared those who have the procedure when they are much older. This does not mean that you cannot expect good results if you are over 50 years of age. Your plastic surgeon can tell you whether you are a good candidate for the facelift surgery.

  • How young is too young for a Facelift:

Generally, facelift surgery is not recommended for people under 35 years of age, but if you want to refresh your appearance to maintain a youthful profile, there are several non-surgical procedures available. The following are some non-invasive and minimally invasive procedures recommended for those who are under 35 years of age and for those who are not yet ready for a facelift:

    Minimally invasive:

  • How long will the Facelift result last?

According to American Society of Plastic surgeons, the results can last up to 10 years. However, good aftercare is very important to maintain the results. The things that help to maintain your facelift results include avoiding smoking, use of sunscreen when stepping outdoors, not smoking, and a healthy diet.

Those who meet the following considerations may be good candidates for a facelift:

  • Individuals concerned about wrinkles, sagging, folds, smile lines, etc. and other signs of aging
  • Healthy people who do not have medical conditions that impair healing
  • Non- smokers
  • People with a positive outlook and realistic expectations

A skilled plastic surgeon can provide you with a customized treatment plan for your facelift in Manhattan.

Abdominal Etching Vs Traditional Liposuction

Many men and women who work out vigorously and go on strict diets to enhance the appearance of their waistline and get more defined abs find that these measures just don’t provide the desired results. Abdominal etching is the answer. Available in plastic surgery practices providing body sculpting in New York, abdominal etching is a special liposuction technique that creates chiseled abs or a “washboard stomach” through targeted sculpting of abdominal fat. This procedure can provide you with sculpted abs when dieting and exercise cannot help you achieve your goals.

Abdominal Etching Vs Traditional Liposuction

Traditional liposuction can also help men and women achieve an ideal abdominal contour. So, how is it different from abdominal etching? The main difference between the two procedures is that conventional liposuction removes stubborn, unwanted fat from different problem areas of the body, while abdominal etching removes localized fat from the abdomen of an individual who already has abdominal muscles. This liposuction technique involves precisely sculpting abdominal fat in both the superficial and the deeper layers to highlight the natural “six-pack” lines in men and provide a chiseled but softer look in women. The results of abdominal etching would be much more prominent and dramatic than traditional liposuction.

Plastic surgeons in New York City perform ab etching using minimally-invasive power-assisted liposuction modalities such as Smartlipo Triplex, VASER Lipo and BodyTite. These energy-assisted devices are designed to remove excess fat and tighten the skin, and also allow the surgeon to define the patient’s natural abdominal lines. The procedure enhances the underlying musculature and tightens the skin, while leaving the surrounding tissues unharmed. Skilled surgeons can provide customized results to meet the patient’s preferences.

The abdominal etching procedure usually takes only an hour, depending on the experience of the plastic surgeon and technique used. Performed as an outpatient procedure under either local or general anesthesia, the procedure begins with the surgeon outlining the patient’s abdominal muscles. Several small incisions are then made in the naval or the natural creases of the abdomen, in a way that they remain unnoticeable. The cannula of the liposuction device is then inserted through the incisions to remove excess fat and sculpt the abs by defining the abdominal muscles. The procedure is considered a form of advanced or 3-D liposuction, which means the results are extremely specific.

Most patients are back to their normal activities in 24-48 hours after the procedure. Your surgeon may recommend of wearing a compression garment for few weeks post-op to help reduce bleeding and swelling, and minimize the fluid accumulation that can occur in the body after surgery. Though the procedure is minimally-invasive, minor swelling is to be expected, which is completely normal and will subside soon.

However, to achieve attractive results, patients need to be ideal candidates for abdominal etching. Being healthy and having a moderate amount of abdominal fat and strong underlying muscles are important criteria for a good candidate. According to one study, the best results of abdominal etching are seen on patients who exercise regularly and eat a healthy diet, but have “certain resistant areas of fat” that make it difficult to achieve the abdominal muscle definition they desire.

Final results of the procedure will become visible once the body has healed completely, usually in about six months. To maintain your outcomes, it is recommended that you stick to a healthy lifestyle.

If you are seeking a contoured body or toned and defined abdominal muscles, you may be a candidate for liposuction surgery or abdominal etching. An experienced surgeon will determine the right option for you based on your anatomical considerations and goals. If you are considering abdominal etching, choose an AAAASF-accredited plastic surgery practice that offers body sculpting in New York City using the latest technologies. Such practices have expert plastic surgeons who can provide customized treatments to meet patient goals.

ASPS Reports the Top 5 Cosmetic Surgical Procedures in 2019

The popularity of cosmetic surgery is increasing day by day as more and more men and women are opting to have body contouring in NYC. The American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) released their Annual Procedural Statistics recently. According to the study, 18.1 million cosmetic procedures were performed in the United States in 2019. This includes nearly 1.8 million cosmetic surgical procedures (no change from 2018), and 16.3 million cosmetic minimally-invasive procedures, which is a 2% increase from 2018.

Cosmetic Surgical Procedures

According to the ASPS, the top 5 cosmetic surgical procedures performed in the country in 2019 are:

  1. Breast augmentation: Being on the top first position for more than a decade, a total of 299,715 breast augmentation procedures were performed by Americans in 2019, but unfortunately witnessed a 4% decrease from 2018. Among the total breast augmentations performed in 2019, silicone implants were used in 85%, and saline implants in 15%.

EVOKE – A Safe and Effective Nonsurgical Facial Remodeling Option

Facial cosmetic surgery has gained popularity in recent years with the development of nonsurgical facial skin rejuvenation techniques. Healthy, midlife women who want to look as young as they feel seek cosmetic surgery to minimize wrinkles and rejuvenate the face. Today, most people want to achieve their aesthetic goals quickly and painlessly, which also has increased the demand for noninvasive and minimally-invasive procedures. InMode EVOKE treatment in NYC, one of the latest additions to nonsurgical facial remodeling options, uses proprietary radiofrequency (RF) technology to remodel facial tissue safely and effectively.

InMode’s Evoke is the first and only all-in-one, hands-free facial remodeling device. This FDA-cleared, non-invasive facial remodeling platform delivers a structural re-organization of the facial and neck tissues resulting in a three-dimensional remodeling. This state-of-the-art thermal skin rejuvenating platform uses proprietary radiofrequency (RF) technology to gently target areas such as the cheeks, chin, and neck. With its hands-free design and programmable technology, it remodels the skin and subdermal tissue with no surgical intervention, anesthesia, surgical scars or downtime. Plastic surgeons in NYC offer a variety of customizable facial aesthetic treatments using this innovative device.

The benefits of EVOKE are:

  • Nonsurgical remodeling of facial tissues
  • Rejuvenates facial appearance without anesthesia, surgical scars or downtime
  • Delivers uniform and volumetric heating, avoiding risks of overtreatment or undertreatment.
  • Ideal social distancing option as face-to-face contact between the patient and physician during the procedure is reduced.

Designed with patient safety in mind, the features of EVOKE include:

  • Temperature monitoring and automatic, user-programmable, temperature on/off control.
  • Built-in real-time audible indicators sound when the optimal temperature is reached, providing feedback on treatment progress.
  • A Patient Call Button to allow patients to easily pause treatments and have clinical staff make any adjustments required.
  • The hands-free design and programmable technology allow safe reallocation of physician and clinical staff time to other patients and treatments while Evoke is in use.
  • The treatment screen enables physicians to visually monitor the thermal effect of each applicator at any point during the procedure.
  • Color-blind RF technology ensures it can safely and effectively be used on all skin types.
  • Patients can surf the internet, read a book, or watch TV while treatments to restore youthfulness are being performed.

Pre-set treatment parameters allow controlled 100% energy concentration at critical temperatures and support optimal soft tissue remodeling. If the skin temperature reaches a threshold level, RF energy is temporarily suspended to the device’s specific applicator, protecting the skin from burns. With this one platform, physicians can provide facial remodeling procedures specifically tailored to patient demands.

bodySCULPT®, a leading plastic surgery practice in Manhattan, New York City (NYC), is one of the first plastic surgery centers in the U.S. to utilize EVOKE technology. bodySCULPT’s Dr. Spero Theodorou, who is also InMode’s Chief Medical Officer is responsible for the development of all of InMode’s procedures, clinical studies and training. ArmTite: An Exceptional Option for Arm Contouring

“Bat wings” or flabby arms are a major concern among many women. Caused by factors such as age-related hormonal changes, weight fluctuations, reduced physical activity and gravitational pull, this aesthetic concern does not usually respond to even rigorous diet and exercises. Brachioplasty or traditional arm lift can address this concern and remove a large amount of fat, but it involves extensive downtime and long scars which are difficult to camouflage. Fortunately, we now have an exceptional arm contouring option – BodyTite in NYC. BodyTite is a minimally-invasive FDA-approved liposuction device that provides excellent results without incisions, unsightly scars, and long downtime. ArmTite or BodyTite™ on arms is an ideal option for tightening skin with minimal to moderate sagging.

Invented by plastic surgeons Dr. Spero Theodorou and Dr. Christopher T. Chia of bodySCULPT® in NYC, ArmTite can provide you with smooth, shapely arms without the unavoidable visible scars associated with traditional arm lift surgery. If your concern is just getting rid of excess fat, then liposuction on arms would be enough. When excess fat and excess skin are both concerns, BodyTite liposuction is the most reliable solution. This innovative, minimally-invasive procedure uses Radiofrequency Assisted Liposuction (RFAL) technology to selectively remove excess fat deposits from the upper arms and also provides efficient skin tightening. The procedure can provide your upper arms with a toned, youthful look, with minimal side effects and discomfort, and importantly, no visible scars. And unlike traditional surgery, ArmTite helps you achieve the well-shaped arms you desire without extensive downtime.

The procedure begins with administering local anesthesia to numb the treatment site. A tiny incision is made in the skin of the upper arm to insert the RF-assisted cannula used for BodyTite treatment. The device features two parallel probes, one that passes below the skin and the other that passes directly above the skin. The RF energy passes between the two probes, melting fat on the inside while simultaneously causing skin to contract and tighten, allowing the surgeon sculpt the arms to achieve the ideal shape.

Benefits of ArmTite include:

  • Arm lift without scars
  • Outpatient procedure
  • Recontouring effects are immediately visible
  • Significant skin tightening
  • Minimal pain, swelling and bruising
  • Short downtime
  • Quick recovery

However, only a good candidate can enjoy all the benefits of ArmTite or scarless arm lift surgery. Ideal candidates are those who have sagging upper arms, good skin elasticity, and a stable weight.

Paula Abdul, International pop icon, who is also brand ambassador of InMode, had BodyTite on arms (ArmTite) as an alternative to traditional cosmetic surgery. The procedure helped her restore sleeker, more youthful looking arms without invasive cosmetic surgery.

As this scarless arm lift surgery in NYC involves minimal surgical trauma and downtime, most patients return to their regular activities soon. Recovery time and results vary based on the extent of area treated and the amount of fat removed. Larger areas will require a longer recovery time and best results usually appear 6-12 weeks after the procedure.

Whether you have a surgical or a minimally invasive procedure, it’s important to follow your surgeon’s instructions on exercise and other matters after arm lift surgery to obtain optimal results. Importantly, a healthy lifestyle is necessary to maintain the outcomes.

Reliable plastic surgery practices offer BodyTite in NYC. If you are considering an arm lift, choose an AAAASF-accredited plastic surgery practices that offer the services of plastic surgeons who are experts in using this RF-assisted body contouring technology. In an AAAASF-accredited plastic surgery practice, you can expect personalized care through the treatment till complete recovery.

Evolve Trim – InMode’s New RF Energy Assisted Treatment for Cellulite

Cellulite is a common aesthetic concern among women. Cellulite appears as dimpled or uneven skin on areas such as thighs, hips, buttocks, and so on. Though harmless, unsightly cellulite that shows up when you wear shorts and bathing suits can be embarrassing. This orange peel appearance of the skin is usually resistant to exercise, massage and creams. Fortunately, NYC plastic surgery practices are offering a new and effective treatment for cellulite – Evolve Trim from InMode. One of the proprietary technologies of InMode EVOLVE treatment in NYC, Evolve Trim is a non-invasive customizable hands-free body and cellulite treatment which involves no surgical intervention or downtime. This innovative modality uses radiofrequency energy to target cellulite and improve the appearance and elasticity of the skin.

Evolve Trim

Caused by fat cells pushing up against the skin, while being pulled down by fibrous cords that bind the skin to the underlying muscle, cellulite is caused by factors such as hormonal changes, weight gain, genetics, skin structure, texture and body type. Evolve Trim utilizes a combination of radiofrequency energy, deep tissue heating, and vacuum design to reduce cellulite and gently reshape the body. The RF energy distributes heat to the skin and underlying fat, causing the tissues to heat, while the vacuum and controlled energy pulses work synergistically to provide natural body shaping results.

Evolve Trim can treat areas of the body prone to cellulite and also used to treat multiple body areas simultaneously. Your surgeon will recommend the optimal number of sessions required based on an assessment of your goals. Most patients see gradual improvements in the treatment area after the first few sessions.

Evolve Trim requires no recovery period or downtime. It can be done during your lunch time and allows you to return to your normal activities immediately. You may notice some redness and warmth in the treated area, but these side effects subside after a few hours. Following your surgeon’s instructions (if any) on post-surgical care can promote smooth healing and recovery. Maintaining the Results of Kybella and Other Injectable Treatments

Under the guidance from public health authorities and professional societies, many plastic surgery practices in NYC have reopened after the lockdown that had been imposed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In order to resume patient care, practices have implemented many measures to ensure the health and safety of their patients and staff. With some restrictions still remaining in place, many people who have had injectable treatments like KYBELLA, dermal fillers, and Botox are concerned about maintaining their results as they wait for their next appointment.

KYBELLA in NYC is the first injectable, non-invasive treatment for a double chin. This FDA approved injectable drug is a synthetic form of naturally occurring deoxycholic acid. It helps in the breakdown and absorption of dietary fat, and improves the jawline and neckline. As the destroyed fat cells can no longer store or accumulate fat, further treatment is not needed once you attain your aesthetic goals. A report from the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) shows that of the 17.5 million surgical and minimally-invasive cosmetic procedures done in the United States in 2017, 62,587 were KYBELLA injections.

The treatment involves only limited downtime and hardly any pain, allowing you to return to your routine activities in no time at all. Here are certain things patients can do to maintain the results of KYBELLA and other injectable treatment results as they wait for their follow-up appointment:

  • Avoid sun exposure: Exposure to the sun may affect the results of injectable treatments. Replying on RealSelf to a patient’s question to sun exposure after KYBELLA, a plastic surgeon noted, “Kybella always induces swelling but a sun burn can add to the swelling. Kybella is in no way phtotosensitizing and your results are not affected by the sun”. However, whether you have had an injectable treatment or not, sun protection is always very important when it comes to your skin. If you do spend time outdoors, apply sunscreen with a high SPF to your face, neck and hands.
  • Maintain a good skin care regimen: As you spend more time indoors, this would be the best opportunity to start and maintain a good skin care regimen. While KYBELLA provides great results to address a double chin, you should practice a good skin care regimen to stay healthy and maintain your outcomes. Eat a nutritious diet and stay active.
  • Avoid stress: Stress can affect the way you recover from any cosmetic surgical procedure. The American Society of Plastic Surgeons notes that it may be difficult to avoid stress in the midst of a pandemic, but it is important to take measures to do so as stress can hasten the aging process. According to ASPS, “If you are used to getting injectable treatments regularly, you may be worried about your appearance as the results wear off. As a result, many patients may be tempted to constantly look in the mirror, with the unintended consequences of frowning or squinting, which will stimulate the muscles and cause them to lose the effect of injectable treatments quicker”. A reliable NYC plastic surgeons will provide the support you need throughout your recovery to minimize your stress level and heal safely and quickly.
  • Taking zinc supplements: If you had injectable treatments such as Botox, then taking a zinc supplement might increase the effects of Botox by up to thirty percent, according to American Society of Plastic Surgeons. Botox has been found to react directly with the levels of zinc in the body. For those with a slight zinc deficiency, taking a supplement can prolong the anti-aging effects of Botox and also boost the immune system, which would be especially helpful during this pandemic.

Staying in touch with your plastic surgeon is especially important as you heal at home. Many NYC practices have a virtual consultation facility and this has become useful in the current situation when social distancing is necessary. You can also reach out to your surgeon for an online appointment to discuss any concerns you may have during the healing process and schedule a physical office visit if needed.
