Harper’s Bazaar recently filmed Dr. Theodorou performing BodyTite on Arms on a 27 year old patient at bodySCULPT® in NYC. The video of the patient undergoing underarm liposuction and BodyTite by InMode was published on September 20, 2018 in Harper’s Bazaar’s The Plastics, an inside look at personal stories about going under the knife. Invented by bodySCULPT’s plastic surgeons Dr. Theodorou and Dr. Christopher T. Chia, the procedure uses RFAL (RadioFrequency Assisted Liposuction) to remove fat and tighten the skin.
In the video, the patient, Daniela, talks about how her flabby arms affected her confidence when it came to wearing sleeveless shirts and tank tube dresses. As diet and exercise didn’t work to address this specific area, she decided to undergo this arm contouring procedure.
Dr. Theodorou performed the procedure on the whole upper arm of this patient, and not just on the under part. As the procedure needed only local anesthesia, the patient was awake and talked with the surgeon as it was being performed. As she didn’t have much pain, downtime was minimal and twenty minutes post-procedure, she felt normal and could even lift her arms. The patient stated that she was happy with her results of her BodyTite scarless arm lift in NYC, and recommends the procedure for women who have self-esteem issues, as it would make them feel really confident about their body.
